The Tangled Garden was established in December 1994 when Frank and Dimitrios Kotsovolos bought the former “DEL’S Restaurant” in an auction. Frank and Dimitrios grew up in neighbouring Perth where they attended Perth and District Collegiate, where Frank currently teaches now.
Frank and Demi’s parents owned Perth Restaurant from 1966 to 1998. That is where Frank and Demi gained the valuable experience needed to open a restaurant.
On April 3, 1995, after months of renovations and alterations, the Tangled Garden Cafe opened it’s doors.
After 4 fairly good years, the Tangled Garden went through a major change when it built an addition, increasing it’s seating capacity from 34 to 62. During this renovation the kitchen and stoage area doubled in size to better serve it’s customers and make it more comfortable for the staff.
In 2006, Dimitrios left the Tangled Garden in Westport to open the Limestone Garden Grill in Kingston, where he continued the success he has had in the restaurant business.
Frank and his wife Anna now own the TGC in Westport and have had 4 years on their own, where they have continued to bring Westport and it’s visitors a great place to eat.
The Tangled Garden Cafe, “enjoy the drive, love the food”.
